All you need to do is collect points during the special games and a Grand Finale Game will be played on the 31st March. The points are allocated as follows: 1 line = 2 points, 2 lines = 5 points and the Full House = 10 points. The prize money for the qualifying rounds are for 1st place – £75, 2nd place – £50 and 3rd place – £25. You only need at least one point to enter the Grand Finale and the prize money is for 1st place – £300, 2nd place – £250, 3rd place – £200, 4th place – £100 and finally 5th place – £50.
There is a Calendar Spelling Tournament throughout 2009 and runs for one week per month. For March it is running from the 9th to the 15th of March at 1pm to 4pm and 7pm to 10pm. Players need to collect the letters of the month by winning relevant games and points are collected for each win. Prizes are then awarded at the end of each month, the end of each quarter, for the half year and then finally, the full year. The prize money for the Full year of playing is for 1st prize – £1,000, 2nd prize – £750, 3rd prize – £500, 4th prize – £400 and finally a 5th prize of £300.
